Well it’s finally here…  I’ve been working hard putting
the final touches on a TeleSeminar to offer my best
answers to top contact management questions by ACT!
users as submitted at www.AskTheACTPro.com. Initial
feedback on this ACT training, as well as the bonus
package has been very positive.  You can get all the
details about the TeleSeminar (including some
of the questions I’m going to be answering) at this web
page:

    Hi.
I’ve revised the data base to include new info. I’ve tried to establish drop down menus, but after having added the categories, I find that there’s no ‘down arrow’ at the end of the field to indicate the categories and to allow the drop down feature.

Also, some of the fields I’ve created will not allow anything to be typed in them.

I’m going crazy trying to figure this out, even with one of those ‘Idiots’ books and using your ‘Help’ menu.

    Please HELP!!! Thanks in advance

    Cal Lea,

This may not be the best place to submit your question, but I’ll try to help you out with a quick answer.

Sounds like you might have some data corruption in the database you are working with, or perhaps you need some ACT software support. You might consider calling ACT support directly, or a certified consultant.

One thing you could do as a test is create a new database from scratch and verify you can make some edits to the schema and layout, next would be to try it on the ACT10demo database (if ACT 2008), ACTNdemo for previous versions (N=version number of the software you own).

    Hope that helps.

Let us know how it turns out!
