*Update…this has been reposted, as unfortunately there was a glitch, and the previous post was removed (and the many comments it had…)

NOTE: This interview went longer than expected, and I couldn’t cutout certain sections since many of the questions were good (afterall they came from the subscribers of this blog), so I’ve made the first part available here. You can get the final segment of this interview by filling out the form below the video…

Hi Travis, Very good interview. It’s been very encouraging to see Dave Van Toor and other key managers from Sage engaging with the forums at community.act.com and with bloggers such as yourself.

I think the video interviews are particularly helpful. I don’t know why we don’t see more of it, we have the technology ;)

On a small technical note I did find the audio a bit hard to pick up at times.

Lastly, I am particularly interested in Sage’s Interoperability vision for 2010. Sounds like something truly innovative, which we haven’t seen for some time. Like most things though, the devil is in the detail. How exactly will ACT!, SageCRM, SalesLogix and the accounting and ERP programs work together? We aren’t that far away from 2010 so I imagine that they must have more information on how they are progressing. I’d be interested in learning more about this.

    Cheers,

    Darren.

P.S. the follow-up emails inviting to post a comment work well.

    Darren-

Greetings to you down under… It has been a long time coming for Sage to get involved with the social community known as web 2.0. It will be telling how much of Web 2.0 they apply based on the features in upcoming versions of the product. Their community forum is a good one.

My apologies for the audio, I have learned a few things with video, and will make it better next time :-)

Yes, by my watch 2010 is about 18 months from now, and I agree it will be interesting to see how it will work together.

As for the follow-up emails…thanks for noticing :-)

    Cheers,
    Travis

    Hi Travis,

    Great job!

Would’ve liked a better answer on the integration with Exchange Server though!

Say, they said thay’d be doing beta’s in Australia. That’s my neck of the woods so post some info if you can

    Thanks

    Rob

    Thanks Rob,

There were so many questions to ask. I could have gone deeper in several areas, but I already went 3x longer than I anticipated…

Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about the beta….

Anyone from Sage reading this want to comment regarding Rob’s inquiry for beta in Australia?? Thanks in advance.
