ACT! Database Software: Reporting the Easy Way…

UPDATE: August 4, 2008 The webinar was recorded, and will be made available in just a few days. Those who register using the form below, will get priority access to the LIVE-REPLAY page.
Let’s face it, if you attempt to do any customization of ACT! reports, it is tedious at best. Truly it is not the core strength of this contact management software. My friend Jason has a great idea how reporting should be. I talked with him on the phone recently, and asked questions about his product (video below).

What we’ll cover on this call:
o Why Contact Management Reporting is Important for Your Business (advantages)
o How Reporting Allows You to Get a Leg up on the competition
o Jason’s product, and a very special offer
o Chance to win a $100 Visa Debit Card

To be truthful, this product has saved my clients thousands in customization work. I’d like to introduce you to Jason, so have a look at the video, and sign up for the webinar by filling in the registration form below.

Webinar/Call Details:
Date/Time: July 31, 2008 at 3pm EST, 12pm PST

Travis, sounds good. Thanks for the video, how’d you do that?

I’m in, and looking forward to what Jason has to share.

Glad you are planning on making it. I’m hopeful it’ll be a good use of time for all involved. Some might think I’m foolish for sharing this product, but I’ve saved clients a noticeable amount of money. The reality is the ACT! report writer is too difficult for most to work with.

Great presentation Travis once again. Say one question came to mind about the product, is it possible to access all the tables in ACT! 10.0.2 and newer or would an end user need to purchase special access to to access the remaining tables? The parallel example being Crystal Clear Essentials where you have access to the tables most likely that the ACT! SDK does but you have to purchase the ACT! Reader account option to access the remaining tables. Thanks again for the presentation Jason did a fantastic job of responding realtime to participant questions in the examples he presented onscreen. I Look forward to the next presentation.

Thanks Steve. Yes, they support access to all the tables available with the 10.02 update.

    Hope that helps.

    Steve- Excellent Question.

Yes, Stonefield Query can report on tables thave have been added through the ACT! 10.0.2 features. This is standard functionality for Stonefield Query and does NOT require an additional purchase. This works with both Design and Runtime capabilities too. Thanks again and have a great day.

    Sincerely,
    Jason Okrepkie

I know this probably isn’t the best place to ask this, but you know the little box with the three dots in it next to the phone field etc, how would you get that to appear next to alt fax and mobile numbers?

    Thanks

  7. Travis on August 28th, 2008

    Hey Vicki-

What is the reason you need the triple dots (ellipsis)? It may be that those are custom fields in your database and they were not created as phone numbers.

  8. Travis on August 28th, 2008

Thanks Jason for chiming in. Great news that your product supports custom tables.

  9. Vicki on August 29th, 2008

    Hi Travis,

the fields were created as number fields instead of phone fields so I managed to get the box etc.

    thanks.
