Good Video Travis. Thank you for the tip on the Referred by field for opportunities that’s a keeper. The export to Excel feature has been the answer for a variety of short-term challenges I am so glad it’s part of the feature set. We used it recently where a client didn’t have time to recreate templates in ACT! that they already had in Word so modified the columns in the contact list, exported to Excel, used the previously created templates; problem solved. Later they went back and created the Templates in ACT! but once again the export to Excel provided a quick workaround. The ability to generate data that can be summarized quickly like that in Excel is nice and does allow you to look at the data from different totals perspectives and graphical options with minimal effort. I don’t care much for charting but that’s easy enough and good for most of my needs; it’s a keeper too. Looking forward to the next video.

Travis, I appreciate your reviewing some features I forgot about. I need to read the new ACT user manual when it comes available. Keep up the good effort.

    Hi Travis,
Appreciate your taking the time to create these videos, it is easier to grasp the concept watching the steps instead of just reading the instructions. I just upgraded to 2009 from 2000 so this is very helpful.

    Joe-

Glad you found it useful. Was there anything specific in video 4, or any video, that jumped out at you as most helpful?

    -Travis
PS: I trust you are finding the ACT 2009
software a nice upgrade? Much different
    (improved) from 2000.

Travis, the lookup feature highlighted a much greater lookup than I even thought about. Up to date I’ve used it as a find button not a creative button.. Thats great..
Funny how one doesn’t seem to look very far into what one is doing to see what further implications are available
    Thanks
    SAM
